When it's cold out, I find it difficult to dress for dates in a way that feels both weather-appropriate and romantic. Since I don't want my legs to freeze in a dress, I usually stick with the less-than-glamorous formula of jeans and some kind of sweater. I'm comfortable, but I end up feeling a little 'blah.' A billowy turtleneck poncho in a rich, textured knit and paneled leather leggings were my answer to this conundrum. I love that each item has special nuances that make them different than the same-old outfit building blocks. The leggings are luxe, buttery, and warm but inherently sexy, while the sweater is cozy and forgiving without swallowing you whole. Paired with heels, a matte red lip, and hair tucked into the neck of the sweater for an effortless faux-bob effect, this is one of my favorite wintry/holiday looks ever.
